Animal Caretaker

We are a USDA Wolfdog sanctuary in Middletown, OH. Candidates must have a passion for animal welfare and have a relevant degree and/or experience in animal care/training/rescue. We are looking for someone excited to work with the animals in our care. This is not a paid position but includes free rent in a large farm house. Qualified candidates must be willing to visit and meet our team.

Our Live-in caretakers share the main house on our sanctuary property. Each caretaker has a private bedroom. Living room and kitchen/dining areas are communal.

Tasks are divided among the caretakers on the property. Requirements are 4 mornings of animal care a week. You are also invited to be involved in our cooperative care training program. We will train you. Caretakers may have outside jobs that do not interfere with animal care duties. Our last caretaker moved on to a zoo keeper position at Cincinnati Zoo. We are a launch for individuals looking to start their careers or we are a great place to land for individuals looking to set roots. We appreciate both.

We are looking for a summer/fall start.
